Our Strategy (How do we live out our vision?)
Gather
-
- Worship: Weekly corporate gathering of God’s saints to worship the living God and to be transformed by His grace.
- LOPC Care Teams: Each elder and deacon have their own care team in order to provide shepherding and care for the flock.
- Events: Both all church events (i.e. Easter brunch, Patriotic picnic) and other events to connect relationally and gather together.
Grow
- Sunday School: Groups focused on learning and applying the Scriptures and a Biblical Worldview to all of life.
- Community Groups: Small groups in homes or at the church that focus on growth in the Word, prayer, and serving together on mission.
- Life on Life: Men’s and women’s discipleship groups focused on laboring in the lives of a few to develop mature and equipped followers of Christ through study, accountability, prayer, and training on mission.

Our History
Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church (LOPC) began in 1996 with six families holding small group meetings. Over the next few years, the numbers grew and the venues changed to meet the increase in attendance. Construction of our current location was completed in 2003.
Over the years, the Lake Oconee area has seen a surge in population as more people have discovered the natural beauty, relaxed lifestyle, and convenience to Atlanta, Athens, and Augusta. With so much change, LOPC has remained committed to teaching the Scriptures, proclaiming the Gospel, and loving our neighbors.
