On this Father's Day, we are taking a brief detour from our series in Romans to explore a topic that is essential to our Christian lives. One of the amazing truths of Christianity is that if you are a believer in Jesus, not only are your sins forgiven and you are declared righteous in Christ, but you are actually adopted into God's family with God as your Father!

But how many of us really understand and live out this truth? For some, the experience of God as our Father is clouded by hurts or difficulties in our relationships with our early fathers. Our view of God is distorted by our earthly experience. As we look at the passage from Galatians, may we be filled with the wonder of our spiritual adoption and the reality of our sonship.
