When the four and five year-olds leave the Sanctuary, they are led back to the Preschool Room (Room 107) and spend the next thirty minutes in their own worship time. You see, Preschool Worship is designed to help our four and five year-olds learn how to worship. It is not a second "Sunday School" lesson, nor is it playtime.
We firmly believe that even the littlest child can bring glory and honor to God - and it is for that reason that we desire to train our children on how to worship. The normal order of worship is: Prayer, Singing, Announcements and Prayer Requests, more Singing, Offering, and a Lesson. If you can't tell, we have tried to mirror the general worship celebration in the Sanctuary back in the Preschool room.
On Sunday morning, your child has done a holy thing - giving praise to God! And behind that, we pray your child has learned how to worship. So that when he or she attends "big people church," it won't be a strange thing.
If you have any questions, please call the church office (706-484-0600) or email at lopc@lopc-pca.org. You can also pick up brochures on the "Nursery," "Children's Ministry," and "Sunday School" at the Welcome Center in the church narthex.
