Members of the Military Outreach Ministry of LOPC will travel to the VA Hospital in Augusta, GA on July 28th to visit soldiers in the wounded care unit. This hospital is where they are recuperating before either going back to Iraq or going home when they are able.

They will also be giving a birthday party for those with birthdays in July. LOPC will be co-sponsoring the birthday party with the Reynolds Veterans Association and the Ritz Carlton, who will provide the birthday cake. MOM members are preparing gift bags of which the main item will be a $50.00 gift card from Walmart.

MOM president Brenda Pinson states "MOM members always to with a spirit of Christian love for all the soldiers who put their lives on the line for our freedoms every day and we are honored to do this small thing to show our apprecation to them.  I guarantee those who make this trip to Augusta will go with the intent of blessing the soldiers but will come back being blessed themselves."
