The purpose of our Adult Learning Communities is to provide topical and biblical studies, which run the gamut of themes for new believers all the way to seasoned saints. Each class is designed to be both informative and interactive, as well as an avenue for deeper study throughout the week. Classes change on a trimester basis, and people are encouraged to go to the class that most interests them. For more information, contact Rev. David F, Ridenhour at 706-484-0600, ext. 224 or by email at david.ridenhour@lopc-pca.org
January - April 2012 (Trimester 1)

"The Fight" by John White
(led by Dr. Joe King, room 108 at 9:30 a.m.)
There is joy and triumph in the Christian life. But the victory can come through struggle. The Fight is a guide through the basic areas of Christian living that we wrestle with throughout our lives. This study offers sound first steps for new Christians and refreshing insights for older Christians into the struggles and the joys of freedom in Christ. Join us as we learn about persevering in the faith amidst the turmoil of life.
"Worship in Spirit and Truth" by John Frame
(led by various teachers, room 109 at 9:30 a.m.)
Worship is an important thing. In fact, it is the thing that believers will do for all of eternity. What does the Bible say about worship? Why is it important to study what the Bible says? Author John Frame writes this: “It is therefore important for us to study worship.
In evangelical churches, it is widely recognized that we should study evangelism, Bible books and characters, systematic theology, counseling, preaching, and many other things. Too rarely do we consider the importance of studying how our God wants us to worship. Worship is something we tend to take for granted.” We will take 13 weeks to give a broad overview of worship. Have questions? Want to know more? Come and join us!
Journey Through the Bible (continuation)
(led by various teachers, Music Suite rooms 101-103 at 9:30 a.m.)
We are continuing a year-long ongoing study through the books of the Bible. In this discussion based, easily accessible course, various teachers will bring students through books of the Bible and seek to uncover the inspired application for present day life. Our first study will be in the Gospel of John. It should be noted that this is an ongoing course, and will not necessarily end and restart with other classes. Students are welcome to come and go as they please throughout the duration of the course.
