The "Praying Hearts, Busy Hands" ministry had its organizational meeting January 28, 2008, with 16 women attending. It has since blossomed into a gathering of like-minded women who are dedicated to honor and serve our Lord and Savior by producing hand-made items such as knitted, crocheted, and quilted baby blankets, and prayer shawls for those in need of spiritual comfort knowing this article was created not only with our talents, but most importantly with our prayers for the recipient.
On Monday, May 12, several of these ladies prepared 25 packages of baby goods and delivered them to the First Call Pregnancy Center in Greensboro, where we were given a tour of the facility including the "Boutique", which abounds with wonderful items for babies. Our contributions were gratefully accepted by the staff.
The Center's personnel are loving, caring individuals most of whom are volunteers. The Center has many needs and we were encouraged to continue our efforts on their behalf, which we certainly intend to do.
