We have resources to help equip our men to grow in their Christian walk, including Bible Studies and quarterly Men's Fellowships.

Our Winter event was Tuesday, November 11th in the LOPC sanctuary.

A wild game dinner was served which will included venison, quail, slaw, baked beans, and dessert. Door prizes included a set of golf clubs and gift certificates to local restaurants.

The featured speaker was Dr. Bobby Welch who is pastor emeritus of the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and past president of the Southern Baptist Convention.  He was a platoon leader in the First Air Cavalry Division when he was mortally wounded during a battle with NVA regulars in the Iadrang Valley in 1966.  This battle was one of the bloodiest of the war and was later commemorated in the Mel Gibson film "We Were Soldiers."  Dr. Welch survived his wound with God's grace and dedicated his life to the Lord on the battlefield.  His testimony was very moving.  Please see click here for more information on Dr. Welch.
