One of the ministries that LOPC supports is Campus Outreach at The Citadel and other college campuses in Charleston, SC. Please join us on Sunday, September 27th as John Ingam will speak at our joint Adult Learning Community class at 9:30 a.m.
From John's ministry newsletter - The Battle Cry - here are just a few of the things he has been involved in recently:
"As many of you know I have been trying to share the Gospel and give of my life to the basketball team at the Citadel. Their season ended with a 10 game winning streak. Please pray for these guys this summer and more opportunities to get around the guys informally."
"This spring break, I had an opportunity to go to Puerto Rico with 8 guys from Coastal Carolina's football team. There we shared our faith on the college campuses as well as travel to rainforests and beautiful beaches. We also attended some seminary classes and had some great fellowship. Please pray for these men as they are laboring to reach the lost on the campus at Coastal."
"This summer I will have an opportunity to travel to India. My objective will be to do some investigating work, as our hub church here in Charleston is sending me and another Campus Outreach staff guy there for 20 days. We will be going on the college campuses in Delhi and Pune and doing ministry. We will also be talking to missionaries and pastors who are already laboring here, so we can learn as much as possible and maybe one day plant a Campus Outreach ministry in India."
